Bass Harbor Village in Tremont
About Joy & Peter Cutrone
We are experienced travel hosts, being former innkeepers and now vacation cottage owners. We both grew up in the Northeast United States, and have traveled extensively. We especially love national parks. We enjoy quality accommodations when we travel, appreciate the extra thoughtfulness that can make a stay more pleasant, and strive to give that experience to our guests. We believe in giving our guests the quality of travel experience that we enjoy ourselves.
Why Acadia? Ever since Joy was a little girl we enjoyed family vacations to Acadia. It continues to be a very special place for us — as it is for so many. Peter and Joy began our dream of together owning “a piece of the rock” in 1999, and immediately sought to create cottages that support and encourage the same kind of family gatherings that we so enjoy: where multiple generations or groups of friends can come together in common gathering areas while still having privacy and personal space.
What makes our cottages unique
Acadia Seaside Cottages continue to be family-run, in what we hope you’ll find is a warm cottage experience in one of America’s most beautiful national parks. An oceanfront setting, the comforts and conveniences of home, and access to a greater range of activities than you can possibly pursue in a weeks’ time combine to give you a vacation experience that you’ll treasure for years to come.
Our cottages are convenient to all that Acadia has to offer, without being directly in the hustle and bustle of a summer seaside resort. You are directly on the water, and can enjoy ocean views under a spectacular sunset, explore the beach, or explore the Park at your leisure.
Thank you! – Joy & Peter
