Acadia Sunset Seaside Cottage

Home – Acadia Sunset

Acadia Sunset Seaside Cottage Rental is a 3-bedroom, 3-bath house with private access directly to the shore. With en suite bathrooms and separate dining, living, reading, and game rooms, the cottage is well suited to accommodate multiple generations of family or a small group of friends, while still preserving your privacy.

The Master Bedroom on the first floor, with king bed, is furnished in iron and sturdy 19th century New England oak, with a handmade quilt and adjacent full bath.

Upstairs, the Blue Room is a bit more playful with its two twin painted cottage beds, wave and buoy décor, and a private 3/4 bath with adjustable shower.

While all three bedrooms boast a view of the ocean or mountain or both, the Waterfall Room upstairs features the same stunning view shared by the living and dining rooms, looking out to the mouth of the cove across Blue Hill Bay to Swan’s Island and beyond. A queen bed and his-and-hers dressers complement the private 3/4 bath with adjustable shower to complete your simple, yet comfortable stay. Oversized towels in all the baths add a touch of indulgence.

Add to that a fully equipped kitchen, private steps to your own stretch of shore, a porch with cedar glider and additional seating, a gas barbecue grille, CD/Radio/TV/DVD player, a good collection of short stories, a ping-pong table in the game room downstairs, board games, puzzles, and cards for a rainy day or cozy night – and you’ve got everything you need for your vacation, special occasion, getaway, or holiday in beautiful Maine!

Beautiful spot!
Nice house, beautiful location, well-stocked. I think the owner should inform guests BEFORE booking that the tap water is in sufficiently treated so really shouldn't be consumed. Except for that, I highly recommend this place.

Paradise in Maine!
This place is amazing! Feels very comfortable and home-y, and really is well stocked in terms of kitchen supplies, games, grill, towels, and more! The location is very quiet and STUNNING, a little bit of a ways (half hour or so) to Bar Harbor/Acadia entrances, but very manageable. Beds were comfortable, rooms were spacious, and everything was very well thought-of. I would come back here again in a heartbeat!

Great Maine vacation spot!
We stayed here for our first trip to Maine and to celebrate our 20th anniversary. We loved that we were close to all the amazing things to do in Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor, but also far enough away from the crowds around Bar Harbor. We couldn't believe how quiet and peaceful it was watching the amazing sunsets at this house.

Wonderful place to be while visiting Maine!!!
We enjoyed our home in Maine so much. Jill and Peter were very accommodating and shared a lot of local tips and information with us prior to our visit. We had the entire cove to ourselves whenever we took to the water. It was so peaceful! Great sunsets from the house and great places to sit down and read a book. The beds were all very comfortable and the kitchen was easy to navigate and use! The landscape and flowers around this home are so beautiful as well. Location is great because you are in the quiet area of Mount Desert Island, but you are also not a far drive from anything on the island.

What a beautiful spot to stay! We stayed here for the long Columbus Day Weekend, and it was so wonderful! We enjoyed the ocean view, the great kitchen, and the comfortable bedrooms. We really appreciated the fact that each bedroom had it's own bathroom. We also loved the selection of board games and the ping pong table. Would definitely stay again and recommend this place to stay. The view is really insane.
