Cove’s Edge Seaside Cottage offers you an opportunity to sample Acadia National Park, lobster, chowder, dining out, boating, sailing, canoeing, kayaking, ocean and freshwater swimming, hiking, walking, bicycling, blueberry picking, birding, garden touring, shopping in quaint boutiques, and more — or to just get some quiet relaxation and reading time in your cozy oceanfront cottage. Cove’s Edge Seaside Cottage is a 3-bedroom, 3-bath house right on the water with your own access to a private stretch of pebbled shore, with expansive views of the cove, islands, and open ocean beyond. It has a game room and two relaxing patios in addition to living, kitchen, and dining rooms with high-end, custom finishes in this architect-designed home. It is well suited to accommodate multiple generations or a small group of friends, where you can both enjoy common rooms as well as preserve your privacy.
You can enjoy any of several cozy nooks to settle in with a good book. Or play ping pong with friends or family on a day at home. You are surrounded by gorgeous ocean views that you can enjoy from nearly every room in the house. And you are steps away from your own private stretch of beach, where you can put in a canoe or kayak, beach comb for shells and sea treasures, or simply enjoy the view out to Maine’s famous island-dotted shore, with the Nature Conservancy’s Placentia Island in the distance, and Swan’s Island just beyond. Every bedroom has an en suite bath. You are less than five minutes’ drive from the Acadia National Park trails called Wonderland and Ship’s Harbor, which bring you out to gorgeous rocky bluffs along the open ocean and Maine’s famous rocky coast. A minute more and you’re at Bass Harbor Head Light, the most photographed lighthouse on the U.S. East Coast. In five minutes you’re in Southwest Harbor with ample opportunities for shopping, dining, and boating; in two more minutes you’re hiking Acadia Mountain or swimming in Echo Lake; and in ten minutes you’re in Bar Harbor, with its quaint shops, restaurants, whale watching, naturalist boating, sailing, deep-sea diving, Park tours, and many other opportunities.
Few locations in the United States can compare to the beauty and diversity of Mt. Desert Island (MDI) and Acadia National Park. Acadia National Park and its famous gateway towns are treasured the world over as some of the most beautiful spots “where the mountains meet the sea.” Ocean, lakes, mountains, miles and miles of hiking trails, dedicated bicycling and walking trails, gorgeous countryside, and the towns of Tremont, Southwest Harbor, Northeast Harbor, and Bar Harbor provide unlimited opportunities for relaxation and recreation. Come for some much-needed rest, relaxation, and rejuvenation at Cove’s Edge Seaside Cottage!
